Silicone is very flexible, which can make it easy to remove the baked donuts from the pan. Unlike silicone, metal is very sturdy. It’s durable and relatively easy to clean, but hand-washing is typically best to preserve the finish. Donuts may stick to a metal pan, especially one without a nonstick finish.
